Latvijas Krajbanka leaves the office premises at 15 J. Dalina Street
KPMG Baltics SIA, the Administrator of Latvijas Krājbanka in liquidation, has moved the office of Latvijas Krājbanka and the last customer service centre from 15 J. Dalina Street to 17a Ganību dambis. The current premises that are the property of Snoras are no longer economically viable as the number of staff working for the bank has significantly decreased since the launch of the insolvency procedure and the scope and profile of the work has changed. Moving to smaller and more cost efficient premises would allow us to save some costs of the insolvency procedure.
The customer service centre will begin working at the new premises on 30 May. Clients will be able to perform transactions with certificates, receive their money for the securities sold in auctions and obtain various advice and statements.
At present, Latvijas Krājbanka in liquidation employs 148 employees, 22 of whose are on parental leave. These employees are engaged in accounting of loans and other transactions, loan servicing and restructuring, maintenance of the real estate of the bank and other work.
It should be noted that the Administrator of Latvijas Krājbanka in liquidation has recovered nearly LVL 70 million from the assets sold in auctions and loans. These recoveries have enabled us to repay LVL 100 million to the Deposit Guarantee Fund, the largest creditor of the bank. This considerable amount consists primarily of money from the recovered loans, assets sold in auctions and funds of Latvijas Krājbanka in liquidation held in the accounts of other banks etc.
