By entering into settlement, Latvijas Krājbanka recovers EUR 7.75 million
AS Latvijas Krājbanka (in liquidation) (“LKB”) and SIA Ernst & Young Baltic (“EYB”) have reached a settlement on matters concerning audits of LKB’s financial statements conducted by EYB. As part of this settlement, EYB has agreed to pay EUR 7,750,000.00 to LKB. LKB and EYB are pleased to have the matter resolved in a manner that is beneficial to both parties and is in the interest of LKB’s creditors. The settlement has been concluded without any admissions of responsibility by either party and recognises the commercial benefits in bringing this matter to a close.
Privatization cetificates
For your information, according to Section 11 of the Transitional Provisions of the law On Privatization Certificates, JSC Latvijas Krājbanka n liquidation on 1 June discontinued servicing privatization certificate accounts.
From 1 June onwards, the privatization certificate accoutns will be serviced by SJSC Latvijas Attīstības Finanšu institūcija "ALTUM".
Claim rights against Air Baltic Corporation to be auctioned
The insolvency administrator of Latvijas Krājbanka, KPMG Baltics, and the insolvency administrator of Bank Snoras, Mr Neil Hunter Cooper, will sell the claim rights against AS Air Baltic Corporation at an open auction. The claim rights are held by SIA Atlantijas Biroji, a subsidiary of Latvijas Krājbanka. The nominal value of the claim rights is EUR 73 533 973.25, which is also the auction floor price. The proceeds from selling the claim rights will be used for payments to the bank’s creditors.

We would like to remind you that the insolvency process administrator of AS Latvijas Krājbanka in liquidation, KPMG Baltics SIA, while performing its duties defined in the law has sold a part of the loan portfolio of AS Latvijas Krājbanka to SIA B2Kapital, a Latvian subsidiary of a Norwegian company AS B2Holding. The disposed loan portfolio consists of the majority of the consumer loan, credit card and overdraft balances of AS Latvijas Krājbanka in liquidation. The transaction has been approved by the Financial and Capital Market Commission.
Latvijas Krajbanka leaves the office premises at 15 J. Dalina Street
KPMG Baltics SIA, the Administrator of Latvijas Krājbanka in liquidation, has moved the office of Latvijas Krājbanka and the last customer service centre from 15 J. Dalina Street to 17a Ganību dambis. The current premises that are the property of Snoras are no longer economically viable as the number of staff working for the bank has significantly decreased since the launch of the insolvency procedure and the scope and profile of the work has changed. Moving to smaller and more cost efficient premises would allow us to save some costs of the insolvency procedure.

Information about securities
On 18 December 2012 the Bank successfully completed the auction of the securities owned by third parties and held in the custody of Latvijas Krajbanka and reminds that the former owners of the securities may turn to the Bank to receive funds due to them as a result of the auction. It also refers to the dividend payments for the individuals who had opened securities accounts with the Bank in the period 23 December 2011 to 21 December 2012.
